How can we help?
Auris is built by one person. Every email gets read and answered.
Common questions
What do I need to use Auris?
An iPhone running iOS 26 or later, and a pair of headphones. AirPods work best because of their calibrated response, but any headphones you trust are fine.
Does Auris replace a real hearing test?
No. Auris is not a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat hearing loss. It tracks and trains the way a fitness app does — and if your trends suggest a checkup is warranted, it helps you prepare for one.
Does my data leave my phone?
Your hearing results, training scores, journal entries, and voice memos stay on your device. Two third-party services receive limited, non-health data: Sentry for crash reports, and Amplitude for anonymous product analytics. Full breakdown in our privacy policy.
Can I turn off analytics?
Yes. Settings › Privacy › Share Analytics inside the app. When off, no events are sent.
How do I cancel Auris Pro?
Auris Pro is a standard Apple subscription. Cancel any time in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
I'm having trouble with audio calibration.
Try: (1) make sure your iPhone volume is at 50%, (2) move to a quiet room, (3) use the same headphones you wear daily — not unfamiliar ones. If it still feels off, email us with your device model and iOS version.
I'm a developer / audiologist / researcher — can I ask about the approach?
Yes, please. Email support@aurisapp.com with what you're working on. We're happy to discuss the DIN implementation, the training protocols, and the data we track.

Feature requests
Auris has a small feature list on purpose. But if something obvious is missing for you, we want to hear it — that's how the good ones get built. Email with the subject line "Feature request."
